Hi there,
My very first memory of Thanksgiving didnāt happen in America. It happened in Brazil, in the 80s, on my parentās TV. I was a teenager with a massive crush on Rob Lowe, watching About Last Night and trying to decode this very American holiday through Demi Mooreās chaotic, charming Turkey Day scene.
Back then, I couldnāt fully understand the dynamics: the mental load, the gender roles, the twenty-something drama. (Ugh⦠I donāt miss my 20s at all!)
Fast-forward to 2025, and here I am: fully immersed in American culture, celebrating what has become my favorite holiday, HUGE turkey and all. And when I pause for a moment, Iām overwhelmed by how much I have to be grateful for.
This country gave me a career Iām deeply proud of, a husband I love, friends who feel like family, a business that brings me purpose, and the joy (and daily adventure) of raising my children here.
And then thereās you.
Thank you for reading these newsletters, supporting our small business, sharing our mission, and being part of the Matriark community. It means more than I can say.
Wishing you a beautiful, love-filled Thanksgiving.
With love and gratitude,
Patricia š¤š¦
