A Halloween Tale: Don't Let Women's Rights Get Ghosted

Happy Halloween! Whether youâre surrounded by jack-oâ-lanterns or just shielding yourself from the pre-election horrors, letâs take a minute to reflect on the state of our democracyâand why this election is so essential. When I arrived in the U.S. back in the â90s, elections were tough, often vicious, but our core principles were solid, and in no time our democracy was ever at risk as it is today. Out of my own frustrations in 2016, I started Matriark in hopes to champion women and LGBTQI+ owned brands and artists, and I simply can't stay silent in times like these. Everything we value as a community âreproductive freedom, equal rights, freedom, integrity, basic decency, generosity and kindness âis on the line (again!), and we need everyone to show up.
